Laduree, s’il vous plaît!

    I’m back from Europe with:

4 boxes of macaroons from Laduree/Pierre Herme
3 tins of tea from Laduree/Pierre Herme
2 hardcover books on style and the etymology of the word ‘craftsmanship’
1 children’s book from the V&A (about a girl who tore her hat and went to the V&A to fix it)
1 jar of rose petal jam

Nothing is more telling of my granny mentality than the souvenirs I bought from Europe consisting of tea, books and cookies. That or an overgrown adult with childish tendencies to still buy books for ages 3-8. Nevertheless my love for Laduree- I must admit- probably stems from my deeply superficial love of packaging. I’ll pay for overpriced aged egg white and sugary pastels due to my hesitations of ever tackling the recipe myself. Laduree will also be opening at Harbour City here in Hong Kong soon (another shop that the ‘dark side’ will have as opposed to the island side). It’s the first in the city which will probably cancel out any future Paris visits until they improve their metro lines to be luggage friendly.

Paris and London diaries coming up when I find time to upload and edit.

Photo, styling and layout by me.
